"The Dark Side" of my Life!

Here I am, once again. It's now 3 months since my 5 by-pass open heart surgery and there are no rings on my fingers and & definitely no bells on my toes. I call out, quite loudly--"What's it all about Alfie?" And you know what?--he actually answers me with the following:

"Life is hardly ever a beach".

"Yes, there is a silver lining but it is quite thin and breaks easily".

"It's true, life can be a bowl of cherries, however it's the pits that we are left with".

Btw, the light at the end of the tunnel has been blown out".

"There aren't always candles to light up the dark".

"The glass is half-empty most of the time" and

"Life does truly suck a lot of the time!"

Sadly these are all true and I think you would agree.
What is going on you ask??? Is this negative attitude actually emanating from the always upbeat, happy, and funny me?---Yep, it sure is!!!
Now you ask, "what could possibly do this to me?"
Well, after a year of developing gastro problems, a burst appendix, 2 stents inserted into an artery, a heart attack, and even 5 by-pass open heart surgery I have remained upbeat, happy, and funny. I have been positive and forward moving all along---but, alas I seem to have picked up"the straw that broke the camel's back"-- I am hurting from gall bladder issues and to tell you the truth---this on top of everything else truly "SUCKS" big time---ENUFF IS ENUFF I say!!!

Wow, I must say that I feel so much better now---Venting is really quite theraputic---well, back to using my sense of humor for coping with whatever is thrown at me...

  1. Having a upbeat attitude in life is certainly a wonderful thing in so many ways--but, I have to admit that there are times when things can get a bit too much and negative feelings can slip in.
Thank goodness these feelings do not stay too long. "Attitude is everything"

  3. As someone who has had gall bladder problems I feel your pain. But please don't let this get you down. Things will pick up.

  4. You are most definitely permitted at this level to vent, scream and complain.....What a total mess....NOT YOU< but the circumstances...... Things will absolutely improve in time......It is so totally unfair.....But you are who you are and you always have "US" behind you....thinking of you, hoping and wishing for your better health....I send you regards from the people at IC sch. Hugs for patience and courage......
